About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for end-to-end support of regulatory change management process
Monitoring the regulatory landscape for new and changed laws
Analyzing laws and communicating regulatory changes to applicable areas within the organization
Tracking implementation evidence of compliance related to communicated laws
Supporting compliance investigations and reviews
Tracking all relevant documentation
Maintaining and applying knowledge of regulations and regulatory changes relevant to the industry and the organization
Working with business relationship owners and vendors to train and educate
Conducting monitoring, auditing, and surveillance of operational functions
Responding to compliance related questions, complaints, and incidents
Developing corrective action plans with stakeholders
Managing timelines and deliverables

Requirements

What you’ll need

3 years’ internal audit, legal, compliance, insurance government program, and/or relevant experience
Ability to review compliance issues with some supervisory oversight
Communicates with state insurance departments and other regulatory agencies, as required
Assists in documenting procedure manuals, and processes; identifies process efficiencies
Provides support and expertise for projects
Identifies matters that may need to be escalated within the department
Delivers well-reasoned and detail-oriented work product of solid quality and effectively incorporates feedback
