About the role
- Lead recovery activities on high risk and critical parts to deliver operational plans and minimize disruption across customers in the region
- Instigate procurement and alternative sourcing activities to mitigate supply gaps
- Develop relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers up to a senior level to build relationships, gain intelligence, influence and make day to day decisions
- Manage supplier capability and capacity and customer performance
- Direct and indirect responsibility for a small to medium team of professionals
- Focus on 28-day risk parts and all supply chain gaps in the full order book
- Resolve customer problems at a senior level, expedite and escalate issues and champion customer needs
- Provide leadership and direction to the department and act as point of escalation for critical parts issues
- Manage the recovery programme for critical parts to reduce overall risk to customer deliveries and minimize exposure to customer penalties
- Provide prioritization signals into both external and internal customers to allow prioritization and workload management
- Provide SCOM operational and functional support across key customers in the regional customer base
- Manage internal relationships across Commercial, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations and Quality to exchange information and resolve supply chain problems
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Engineering or Business Management related subject or qualified by experience
- Project Management Qualification or relevant skills and experience
- Extensive experience in establishing, driving and developing customer relationships
- Extensive supply chain operations experience
- Technical components and manufacturing knowledge would be beneficial
- People management and leadership experience
- Significant experience in establishing, driving and developing supplier relationships
- Significant materials management experience of multi-layer bills of materials
