About the role

  • Data Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and drive the product roadmap for foundational datasets, ensuring they align with company-wide goals and business needs.
  • Data Modeling and Enablement: Work with data engineering teams to build canonical datasets and semantic layers. Ensure that data products are well-documented, discoverable, and accompanied by training materials to empower users.
  • Business Intelligence Curation: Establish standards and best practices for curating data assets and dashboards within our business intelligence tools, such as Looker, to ensure consistency and usability.
  • Adoption and Change Management: Drive adoption through training and enablement, ensuring teams are proficient in leveraging our governed datasets and the tools that support them. Systematically oversee the deprecation of legacy data sources to reduce fragmentation and improve trust.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Product, Finance, Clinical, Care, and Growth teams to deliver data-informed perspectives and actionable insights. You will provide the trusted data foundation that supports both customer-facing applications and business processes

Requirements

  • Experience: You have 5+ years of experience developing data products. You have proven experience in a product management role, with a strong focus on data-intensive products or foundational datasets.
  • Technical Skills: Solid understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data warehousing concepts. Expert-level proficiency in SQL is required, and significant experience with Python for data analysis is a plus.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across the organization.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a focus on delivering measurable results and a track record of building scalable data products that drive business value.
  • Preferred: Experience with healthcare-related data, familiarity with BI tools like Looker or Tableau, and experience with documentation tools such as Jira or Confluence.
