About the role
- Prepare journal entries, schedules and supporting documents for compilation into IMT Corporation's financial statements.
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts for IMT Corporation.
- Reconcile cash receipts to software billings on a weekly basis.
- Oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
- Assist with billing and monitor sales tax compliance with various state requirements.
- File sales and use tax forms.
- Track internally developed software in accordance with accounting standards.
- Provide support for IMT Insurance Company processes and special projects as needed.
- Must be proficient with Excel, Word, and general ledger software.
- Works under general supervision.
Requirements
- A college education and 5+ years of Accounting experience is needed to perform normal functions.
- Must be very detail oriented while maintaining accuracy.
- Must have writing skills to communicate with the customer.
- Ability to operate standard office computer systems.
- Ability to read and problem solve.
- Accounting background with excellent math skills is required.
- Maintain technical expertise and knowledge of current trends and techniques in the market.
- Ability to listen and communicate to the customer, both verbally and in writing.
- Must possess the ability to work well with others.
- Must be comfortable navigating change and contributing to continuous improvement.
- Must have a flexibility and a proactive approach to evolving priorities, processes, and team structures.
- Must be proficient with Excel, Word, and general ledger software.
