About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, operate, and continuously improve the AWS serverless data platform.
  • Maintain self-service tooling, templates, and scaffolding for serverless resources.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation and maintain engineering standards.
  • Act as a trusted technical partner, defining SLAs and SLOs for platform services.
  • Ensure platform infrastructure adheres to security best practices.
  • Own and evolve IaC for platform infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through regular platform reviews.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Deep, hands-on experience with the core serverless stack.
  • Knowledge of AWS IAM, VPC, and security patterns.
  • Strong Python skills - writing production-quality, testable, maintainable code.
  • Familiarity with Java for legacy pipeline work.
  • Proficiency in Terraform, building reusable IaC modules.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with a developer-first mindset.
  • Comfortable with CloudWatch and preferably a third-party observability tool.
  • Ability to write clear documentation and give constructive feedback in code reviews.
  • Practical knowledge of least-privilege IAM, secrets management.
