About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, operate, and continuously improve the AWS serverless data platform.
Maintain self-service tooling, templates, and scaffolding for serverless resources.
Produce high-quality technical documentation and maintain engineering standards.
Act as a trusted technical partner, defining SLAs and SLOs for platform services.
Ensure platform infrastructure adheres to security best practices.
Own and evolve IaC for platform infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement through regular platform reviews.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Deep, hands-on experience with the core serverless stack.
Knowledge of AWS IAM, VPC, and security patterns.
Strong Python skills - writing production-quality, testable, maintainable code.
Familiarity with Java for legacy pipeline work.
Proficiency in Terraform, building reusable IaC modules.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with a developer-first mindset.
Comfortable with CloudWatch and preferably a third-party observability tool.
Ability to write clear documentation and give constructive feedback in code reviews.
Practical knowledge of least-privilege IAM, secrets management.
