About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ship production features that improve conversion, usability, or customer experience across lending flows
- Build familiarity with Imprint's front-end architecture, component systems, and design patterns
- Contribute to system reliability through testing, performance monitoring, or incident response
- Collaborate effectively with product, design, and backend teams to translate requirements into polished user experiences
- Deliver clear, maintainable code that other engineers can build on
- Design, build, and maintain front-end features and components while implementing customer-facing flows for our Account Servicing functions. These functions directly impact end users experience.
- Build responsive, accessible, and performant web experiences that work across devices and browsers
- Collaborate with designers to translate mockups and prototypes into production-ready code
- Partner with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flows
- Write tests, contribute to code reviews, and maintain code quality as the platform scales
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to production incidents
- Contribute to front-end architecture, component libraries, and engineering standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5–7 years of software engineering experience building front-end applications
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one front-end framework (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular)
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles
- Experience with state management, component architecture, and front-end testing
- Familiarity with API integration, asynchronous data handling, and error management
- Demonstrated ability to ship production code, debug issues, and respond to operational incidents
- Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating across product, design, and engineering teams
- Ability to work in ambiguous environments and make pragmatic engineering tradeoffs
