About the role

  • Finalize and validate the GRANIT analytical framework
  • Coordinate formal validation of the framework with IMPACT’s Research Department at headquarters and oversee its iterative testing across the different GRANIT analysis cycles
  • Identify and address methodological gaps, ensuring the framework’s adaptability to changes in data availability and analytical needs
  • Lead the practical application of the analytical framework during new GRANIT analysis cycles by organizing and facilitating structured intersectoral analysis sessions with the GRANIT partner group
  • Provide technical leadership under IMPACT’s mandate, in coordination with OCHA and IOM, to support collective analysis, harmonize findings and build consensus on risks, needs and response implications
  • Supervise the revision of GRANIT’s two main information products to reflect the shift from descriptive and sectoral outputs to integrated, interpretive and intersectoral analyses
  • Serve as the primary programmatic focal point for the AFD-funded GRANIT project, maintaining regular technical and analytical dialogue with the donor
  • Identify opportunities to scale up or sustain GRANIT through additional funding sources and complementary partnerships
  • Provide direct line management and technical supervision to one GRANIT analyst, including work planning, quality assurance and performance support

Requirements

  • Strong academic qualifications, including a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in humanitarian, development or related contexts
  • Experience with external engagement (donors, partners and other key stakeholders) required
  • Good knowledge of the humanitarian coordination system required
  • Understanding of assessment processes required
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports
  • Excellent analytical and research skills required
  • Ability to work independently required
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines required
  • Solution-oriented approach, flexibility and open-mindedness, including the ability to operate in a multicultural environment
  • Good knowledge of the AOC context — prior experience in the region is desirable
  • Fluency in French required; proficiency in English is an asset
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office tools required
  • Intellectual curiosity, motivation to contribute to humanitarian sector improvement and ability to adopt a strategic overview
