Reporting into the Director of SEO, manage the SEO content strategy for a portfolio of websites.
Work closely with writers and sub-editors on best practice guidelines.
Identify new and existing opportunities and report on wider performance.
Lead the organic growth strategy from a content perspective for the entertainment vertical.
Support editorial teams’ content strategies in planning, briefing, writing, and optimizing new and existing content.
Analyze content performance and aid editorial teams in interpreting and utilizing organic performance data to optimize audience acquisition.
Monitor competitor activity and performance to identify new opportunities and threats.
Provide audience and SEO guidance for new growth pillars in the entertainment vertical.
Provide audience guidance and insights for new organic channels, including YouTube.
Keep updated in world of SEO and audience development, attend events and stay ahead of algorithm changes.
Ensure key stakeholders and communities are aware of the latest search changes.
Formulate responses to any changes affecting search, including algorithm updates.
Deliver content SEO training and development to stakeholders.
Build and share audience resources and tools to support brands.
Operate effectively within a matrixed organization, balancing priorities and securing buy-in from diverse teams.
Offer audience-led knowledge to growing areas of the business.
Requirements
A thorough understand of how Google Search, Google Discover and SEO works.
Strong understanding of content SEO principles, keyword research, and user intent analysis.
Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate with editorial teams to craft search-optimised content strategies at pace.
Familiarity with enterprise SEO tools such as Google Trends, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, SEMrush etc
Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, and Data Studio.
