About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support healthcare information technology applications through planning, design, implementation, maintenance, optimization, and ongoing support
  • Provide advanced technical support, configuration, integration, and maintenance throughout application lifecycles
  • Manage small and mid-sized application-related projects and help plan and execute projects
  • Mentor other analysts and contribute to application configuration, deployment, support, archival, and decommissioning best practices
  • Document and recommend workflow changes and technical/functional designs
  • Partner with external vendors on third-party application integration, implementation, support, and troubleshooting
  • Resolve common and complex issues, incidents, and problems within service levels and department standards
  • Serve as project manager and complete project-management functions for mid-size projects with multiple teams
  • Perform quality reviews of team build
  • Collaborate with peers, internal and external stakeholders, and vendors
  • Follow documentation and change-management standards
  • Develop training and knowledge-based materials
  • Oversee electronic and mechanical hardware configuration with software products
  • Develop and understand business reporting needs for end users
  • Participate in on-call and command-center responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain testing plans and scripts
  • Attend team, project, and department meetings
  • Define project objectives, complete business-case documentation, and support ROI/KPI and benefit-plan measures
  • Aggregate resource, equipment, hardware, and data-connection forecasts for project roadmaps and construction/reconstruction planning
  • Provide cost and infrastructure information to Capital Planning
  • Lead procurement and coordination of DTS equipment for construction and reconstruction projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Prefer candidates with Epic Certification and 3+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree required in information technology, healthcare, business, or related field
  • Alternatively, actively working toward a Bachelor's Degree with nine years of professional experience
  • Four years of work experience, or actively working toward a Bachelor's Degree with six years of experience in related areas
  • Must certify on one or more Epic applications and maintain certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel pivot tables, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and Word
  • In-depth business and application knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of system analysis and operating systems
  • Ability to assess needs and determine the best approach through documentation
  • Ability to define problems and collect data by establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions
  • Ability to read and interpret industry periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, correspondence, and process documents
  • Ability to present information and respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, managers, directors, senior leaders, and the public
  • Knowledge of project management and control
  • Ability to operate computers and IT equipment requiring finger and hand movement
  • Ability to read computer monitors and documents
  • Ability to remain sitting or standing for long periods
  • Must reside or plan to reside outside California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont, and Washington
  • Availability for Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM MST schedule
