About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review patient charts to verify most recent provider visits
- Gather and review relevant clinical information to support refill requests
- Prepare and document refill authorization requests using pharmacy technology systems
- Ensure all required clinical criteria and documentation are complete prior to pharmacist review
- Route completed refill requests to the pharmacist for final verification and processing
- Communicate with pharmacists and care team regarding missing information or concerns
- Identify potential safety concerns or gaps in care and escalate appropriately
- Maintain accurate documentation in the patient record
- Work collaboratively as part of a large, remote team
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School or equivalent is required
- Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice
- Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy
- 3 years of experience preferred
- Refill authorization experience preferred
- Familiarity with top 100 most common medications
