About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee all facets of patient payments, daily deposits, ERA, and EFT maintenance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of patient payments.
  • Active participation in system integration testing.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for payment posting.
  • Stay abreast of best practices.
  • Work towards achieving executive goals and optimizing revenue cycle performance.
  • Ensure the financial stability of the organization.
  • Provide leadership and direction to Payment Posting team, including hiring, training, coaching.
  • Conduct performance reviews and terminations.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and communicate operational initiatives to improve efficiency.
  • Provide project guidance to implement efficient posting processes.
  • Monitor system performance and resolve problems.
  • Manage communication and processes between departments involved in the revenue cycle.
  • Establish productivity monitoring for department staff to maximize results.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and address issues timely to improve performance.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a successful team within healthcare revenue cycle operations.
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of EOB interpretation.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of healthcare billing requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and departments.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of Microsoft office programs.
  • 2yrs payment posting in Epic experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, finance, or related field from an accredited institution (Preferred).
  • Epic experience (Preferred).
  • Five (5) years of experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle (Payment Posting, Claims, billing, and Insurance and Follow up) (Preferred).
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience (Preferred).
  • HFMA Certification (Preferred).
