About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The Pharmacy Technician demonstrates consistent application of knowledge and skills in assisting the pharmacist in execution of appropriate, safe, efficacious, efficient, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care
Participate in many procedural aspects of pharmacy practice under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist or technician supervisor
Support Pharmacy Services in all locations (i.e., acute, community, ambulatory, specialty)
Operate in a call center environment and require strong phone-based communication skills
Support prescription preparation and fulfillment in a fast-paced environment, with work performed on your feet throughout the day
Maintain positive relationships with facility caregivers throughout the system and support applicable programs
Communicate results of auditing or project-based activities in an open and constructive manner
Support facility and system Pharmacy Services throughout Intermountain Health

Requirements

What you’ll need

Licensed to practice pharmacy
Licensed in a state in which Intermountain Health operates or eligibility to obtain a license upon hire
National Pharmacy Technician certification
Experience in a role utilizing mastery of pharmacy technician skills with an emphasis on knowledge of medications used in an inpatient, ambulatory care, or community pharmacy setting
Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet, e-mail, and scheduling applications
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
