About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Builds relationships and works closely with Brokers to help drive new and renewing commercial Individual business for Select Health.
  • Acts as the liaison between brokers and internal teams such as Enrollment, Billing, Member Services, etc., working closely with the managers and technical support personnel of other departments to facilitate quick and efficient problem resolution.
  • Maintains an excellent understanding of all dimensions of Select Health in order to accurately relay information.
  • Exercises exceptional sales skills with brokers and clients.
  • Works with brokers to meet client's needs for information and problem resolution.
  • Serves as a resource for sales and technical information to brokers for individual products.
  • Understands and effectively communicates information to clients and brokers.
  • Identifies problems and solutions to management related to benefit designs, provider relations, billing, enrollment, compliance and other concerns.
  • Works closely with marketing to communicate latest market trends and opportunities.
  • Prepares and conducts formal presentations to explain medical and dental benefits as well as Select Health value adds to brokers.
  • Travels and spends time at broker locations to educate and provide superior service to client groups, strengthen relationships, and heighten the visibility of Select Health.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree. Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
  • Four years of experience in customer service, sales, marketing, or communications.
  • Five years of sales or health care industry experience.
  • CO, Utah or Idaho Resident Producer License for Accident and Health. If incumbent does not have license, they must acquire licensure within six months of employment to remain in the job.
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Strong working knowledge of health insurance.
  • Ability to sell and manage the sales process.
  • Ability to handle duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision; display professionalism in judgment and decision-making.
