About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a portfolio of 30–50 corporate partners and prospects with an annual revenue goal of $2–3 million.
- Execute full lifecycle fundraising, including prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
- Bring a long-term, strategic perspective to portfolio management, aligning partnerships to broader organizational priorities and identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new corporate funders aligned with iMentor’s priorities.
- Lead annual forecasting and reforecasting for your portfolio and pipeline; track progress against goals and adjust strategy as needed.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and partner with Development Operations to support reporting and performance tracking.
- Identify and engage new corporate prospects through research, outreach, and networking.
- With support from Corporate Development Manager, develop tailored concepts, proposals, pitches, and partnership strategies that align corporate philanthropic priorities with iMentor’s programs and impact.
- Structure and negotiate philanthropic partnerships, including grants and sponsorships and select fee-for-service opportunities.
- Lead stewardship and benefits fulfillment for corporate partners, ensuring a high-quality and consistent partner experience.
- Oversee delivery of corporate benefits, including volunteer engagement, event activations, and corporate trainings, in collaboration with internal teams.
- Partner closely with Program, Finance, Marketing & Communications, Research & Evaluation and Development Operations teams to scope partnerships, develop budgets, and define impact metrics.
- Lead grants management and compliance for your portfolio, ensuring deliverables, reporting, and timelines are met in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Monitor progress against grant commitments and proactively address risks or challenges.
- Coordinate internally to ensure strong execution of partnerships and alignment across teams.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Institutional Giving to align on shared accounts and strategy, including board leadership, fundraising events, and more.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a focus on corporate partnerships, institutional giving, or related areas.
- Proven success managing a portfolio and meeting revenue goals in the $2–3 million range.
- Experience securing and managing corporate gifts, grants, or sponsorships in the $50,000 - $500,000 range.
- Strong relationship management skills and ability to manage both fundraising and partner engagement/benefits fulfillment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal and report development.
- Experience with forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
- Familiarity with grants management, funder reporting, and cross-functional project coordination.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of taking initiative and building new opportunities.
- Collaborative, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
