About the role
- Design and develop self-paced eLearning modules using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, or equivalent — from storyboard through final published output
- Build scenario-based learning experiences, clinical case studies, and branching simulations that reflect the complexity of pediatric virtual care
- Create performance support materials including job aids, quick reference guides, and workflow-embedded resources for clinical and operational teams
- Develop assessments and knowledge checks grounded in adult learning principles and aligned to observable performance outcomes
- Translate complex clinical and technical content into clear, accessible learning that resonates with a diverse, multidisciplinary workforce
- Partner with clinical subject matter experts, operational leaders, and technology stakeholders to conduct needs analyses and define learning solutions
- Collaborate with the broader L&D team to ensure design consistency, brand alignment, and quality across all learning products
- Participate in project intake, scoping, and timeline management, communicating clearly with stakeholders throughout the design process
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions using data from the LMS (Docebo), learner feedback, and performance indicators
- Stay current with instructional design methodology, healthcare learning trends, and emerging tools — and bring that knowledge back to the team
- Contribute to the ongoing refinement of L&D standards, templates, and design processes
Requirements
- Business Healthcare and clinical experience
- 3–5 years of instructional design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating eLearning, scenario-based learning, and job aid development
- Proficiency in at least one eLearning authoring tool (Articulate Storyline and/or Rise strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to work with clinical or technical subject matter experts to develop accurate, nuanced learning content
- Strong writing skills — you can make complex content clear without oversimplifying it
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, iterative environment
- Comfort with ambiguity — you are resourceful, proactive, and don't wait to be handed a fully formed brief
- Experience designing learning for healthcare, clinical, or regulated environments (Preferred)
- Familiarity with Docebo or similar learning management systems (Preferred)
- Experience designing for equity — including culturally responsive content, plain language, and accessibility standards (Preferred)
- Background or coursework in instructional design, education, healthcare, or a related field (Preferred)
