About the role

  • Design and develop self-paced eLearning modules using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, or equivalent — from storyboard through final published output
  • Build scenario-based learning experiences, clinical case studies, and branching simulations that reflect the complexity of pediatric virtual care
  • Create performance support materials including job aids, quick reference guides, and workflow-embedded resources for clinical and operational teams
  • Develop assessments and knowledge checks grounded in adult learning principles and aligned to observable performance outcomes
  • Translate complex clinical and technical content into clear, accessible learning that resonates with a diverse, multidisciplinary workforce
  • Partner with clinical subject matter experts, operational leaders, and technology stakeholders to conduct needs analyses and define learning solutions
  • Collaborate with the broader L&D team to ensure design consistency, brand alignment, and quality across all learning products
  • Participate in project intake, scoping, and timeline management, communicating clearly with stakeholders throughout the design process
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions using data from the LMS (Docebo), learner feedback, and performance indicators
  • Stay current with instructional design methodology, healthcare learning trends, and emerging tools — and bring that knowledge back to the team
  • Contribute to the ongoing refinement of L&D standards, templates, and design processes

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of instructional design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating eLearning, scenario-based learning, and job aid development

  • Comfort with ambiguity — you are resourceful, proactive, and don't wait to be handed a fully formed brief
  • Experience designing learning for healthcare, clinical, or regulated environments (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with Docebo or similar learning management systems (Preferred)
  • Experience designing for equity — including culturally responsive content, plain language, and accessibility standards (Preferred)
  • Background or coursework in instructional design, education, healthcare, or a related field (Preferred)
