About the role

  • Analyze, plan and execute technical activities for the management and production of geospatial data according to methodologies and standards defined by the company.
  • Perform technical activities for the management and production of geospatial and alphanumeric data.
  • Interpret technical specification documents for components and solution requirements, whether services or products.
  • Provide support in project planning for the acquisition, processing and management of geospatial and alphanumeric data, gathering technical information and analyzing required inputs based on qualitative and quantitative aspects.
  • Analyze and produce technical specification documents for components and solution requirements, whether services or products.
  • Use geodatabase data editing and create simple geoprocessing models; create, edit and explore geographic data in ArcGIS Pro; design simple map layouts and share maps.
  • Use ArcGIS functionalities to visualize, create, manage and analyze geographic data, applying the main components and capabilities of the ArcGIS ecosystem (Server, Mobile, Desktop, Online and extensions) and be able to identify their appropriate applications.
  • Use ArcGIS tools and functions to create efficient GIS workflows.
  • Perform and apply geodatabase modeling using versioning, network elements and complex geoprocessing models.
  • Apply the ArcGIS platform to perform spatial analyses and be able to automate processes.
  • Create and apply dynamic cartographic elements and design complex map layouts.
  • Apply ArcGIS capabilities and demonstrate advanced skills to use tools for visualization, creation, management and analysis of geographic data.
  • Apply geotechnology across Imagem’s various vertical business areas.
  • Create and apply data management processes using Production Mapping.
  • Propose the appropriate working scale to solve different geographic problems.
  • Troubleshoot distortion issues and understand specific characteristics of geographic data related to their source.
  • Master ArcGIS functionality and propose improvements in the use of tools to visualize, create, manage and analyze geographic data and support the team.
  • Create and propose enhancements to solutions based on ESRI products.
  • Propose improvements in the use of ArcGIS tools and functions to create efficient GIS workflows.
  • Master the main ArcGIS extensions and propose innovative uses for key extensions.
  • Propose enhancements in the use of geotechnology across Imagem’s business verticals, improvements in data structures and innovative data models for specific business processes, improvements to offerings and business processes based on the ArcGIS platform, and solutions using SDI concepts and INDE.
  • Create and structure new methodologies for executing geoprocessing services, estimates and quality control according to the specific characteristics to be executed.

Requirements

  • Degree in Exact Sciences, Earth Sciences or related fields.
  • Advanced knowledge of GIS.
  • Knowledge of ESRI solutions and products. Experience with Survey123, Field Maps, Dashboards and Experience Builder is mandatory.
  • Understanding of the origins and basic concepts of technologies and methodologies for acquiring geographic data.
  • Knowledge of geospatial data sources and acquisition methods (remote sensing, fieldwork, aerial photogrammetry) and familiarity with national agencies (IBGE, INPE, CPRM) and international producers (USGS, NASA, FAO, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Spatial Data Infrastructures (IDE) and INDE.
  • Knowledge of projection systems (UTM, Lambert) and geodetic datums (WGS84, SIRGAS2000).
  • Knowledge of major existing metadata standards.
  • Development and automation of processes using Python.
  • Professional certifications.
  • Intermediate to Advanced English.
  • Systems and business specifications.
  • Knowledge of CAD.
  • Knowledge of image processing (PDI) software.
  • Knowledge in Remote Sensing, Geodesy, Cartography, Spatial Analysis, GIS and Web GIS.
