About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Definition of the machine or plant layout.
  • Design of components, machine assemblies, and format parts, including modifications and updates to existing designs.
  • Development of the mechanical aspects of new functions, assemblies, and components, based on regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Mechanical design in compliance with project timelines and cost targets.
  • Preparation and updating of the bill of materials (BOM) to ensure proper launch into production of the machine or its components.
  • Evaluation of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and treatments required to ensure the functional performance of components.
  • Contribution to the definition of safety requirements and participation in risk assessments (product, process, and operator safety).
  • Monitoring and updating of technical project documentation (specifications, drawings, BOMs, project archiving, and assembly documentation).
  • Support in the preparation of the machine technical file and testing protocols, in collaboration with the Documentation Department.
  • Participation in testing and experimental trials on new assemblies or functionalities.
  • Continuous interface with various departments within the division (production, quality, R&D, etc.) throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Support, when required, to pre-sales, after-sales, and marketing activities.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a Mechanical Technical Diploma (or equivalent qualification).
  • Approximately 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer.
  • Experience in technical design offices, preferably in the automatic machinery, industrial automation, primary packaging, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Proficiency in parametric 3D CAD software.
  • Ability to manage technical project documentation.
  • Working knowledge of the English language.
