About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Enable Pricing Excellence and Evolution
- Lead initiatives that bring the pricing vision to life across global markets.
- Create, articulate, and present persuasive recommendations regarding pricing proposals within a highly cross-functional, matrixed organization.
- Drive change management efforts to ensure global adoption of new pricing strategies, including developing training materials and leading internal workshops for key stakeholders.
- Build pricing frameworks, models, and dashboards that inform decisions and optimize revenue.
- Analyze various global markets to gain an understanding of compelling value propositions, competitive positioning, and most desirable product attributes and trade-offs and how these link to pricing strategies.
- Implement advanced customer segmentation and personalized pricing strategies (by region, customer type/tier, or channel), leveraging data science and digital tools to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Establish clear KPIs for pricing initiatives and lead post-implementation reviews to monitor outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain pricing tools and concepts.
- Partner with Marketing, Finance, Sales, and Operations to align pricing strategies with business objectives and tactical pricing execution.
- Key partner in establishing an efficient, effective, and repeatable strategic pricing process for New Product Introductions (NPIs).
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 15 years of experience in Pricing, Finance Business Partnering, Marketing, or Commercial Ops.
- 7+ years of management experience
- MBA, or equivalent advanced degree in a related field preferred.
- Pricing or Six Sigma training/certification is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to tie detailed analysis to overarching strategies
- Experience engaging cross-functionally in order to drive large programs or initiatives
- Strong initiative, problem-solving ability, and sense of ownership when driving assigned projects to completion
- Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to influence at all levels across a matrixed organization, including Executive Level
- Passion for the role genomics will play in improving human health
- Willing to travel based on business and training needs (up to 20%)
