About the role

  • lead and develop a specialised Informatics Sales team across EMEALA
  • define and execute regional commercial strategies in alignment with global goals
  • collaborate with regional sales leaders to enable broader team success
  • build and maintain relationships with key customers, academic institutions, and KOLs
  • represent Illumina at industry events to promote our informatics portfolio
  • provide Voice of Customer insights to influence product development and marketing
  • ensure accurate pipeline and forecast reporting
  • analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities
  • present performance metrics to internal stakeholders
  • act as primary liaison with internal software teams including Product Management, R&D, and Professional Services
  • share best practices with global Informatics Sales leaders
  • contribute to annual planning including revenue targets and operational budgets

Requirements

  • seasoned commercial leader with deep expertise in software sales within the Genomics, Life Sciences or Healthcare industries
  • strong understanding of sequencing workflows and bioinformatics applications, including DNA/RNA data formats and analysis methods
  • experience leading sales teams in matrixed environments, mentoring talent, and driving consistent growth
  • data-driven, strategic, and passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences
  • Master’s or PhD in Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or Biochemistry highly desirable
  • familiarity with cloud-based genomics solutions and the ability to influence at C-level.
