About the role
- Responsible for positioning and selling company products in a given geographical region
- Engages and qualifies new and existing customers
- Positions Illumina products to provide solutions to customer projects
- Partners closely with internal and field-based sales team members
- Works effectively in a team environment to drive revenue opportunities
Requirements
- Fluent in English & Spanish
- Strong Genetics and Molecular Biology foundation
- Typically 2+ years of experience in a Life Science laboratory or Sales role
- Strategic sales skills with proven ability to develop and grow key accounts
- Conducts presentations effectively to customers/peers/management
- Preferred knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing and Genotyping methods
- Self-motivated to continue learning
- Strong desire to "win" and build customer relationships
