About the role
- Positioning and selling company products professionally and creatively
- Engaging and qualifying new and existing customers
- Partnering closely with internal and field-based sales team members
- Developing a strong understanding of Illumina’s technology and products
- Establishing and executing on strategies for obtaining new customers
- Effectively selling the total Illumina product portfolio
- Making outbound contact to identify sales opportunities
- Presenting versatile and unique solutions during customer negotiations
- Managing customer relationships post-sale
Requirements
- Strong Genetics and Molecular Biology foundation
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Life Science laboratory, Sales role or related field
- Experience with strategic sales skills
- Conducts presentations effectively
- Preferred knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing and Genotyping methods
- Self-motivated to continue learning
- Desire to collaborate within a team selling environment
