About the role
- After onboarding, take responsibility for coverage of selected industry sectors (e.g., chemicals/pharma or building materials)
- Share sales responsibility for key clients in your sectors together with the regional corporate client sales team
- Lead strategic discussions at C-level/management level and advise as a banking partner with deep sector expertise
- Identify business opportunities, acquire new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients and industry intermediaries
- Develop sector-specific sales approaches and implement them together with the regional corporate client sales team
- Assess market developments, business models and corporate plans with support from our in-team analysts
- Develop financing and advisory solutions within multidisciplinary teams
- Execute loan projects, capital markets transactions and advisory mandates together with our product specialists
- Represent IKB externally with solid sector expertise—through expert articles and participation in industry events
Requirements
- Degree in economics/business administration or engineering
- Substantial professional experience at a bank, in consulting, auditing or within industrial companies
- Interest in sector-focused sales work and in collaborating within multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of business models and value chains in industrial sectors is desirable
- Ideally, you have already established an initial network of market participants in relevant industries
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
- Very good German and good English skills
