We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Leave of Absence & ADA Administrator to support the management of employee leaves of absence and ADA accommodations.
This role requires a high level of confidentiality, strong knowledge of compliance requirements, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
You’ll serve as a key resource for employees navigating time off, disability, and state leave integration—ensuring a seamless and supportive experience throughout the process.
What You'll Do:
Employee Support & Case Management
Handle sensitive and confidential employee issues related to benefits, leaves of absence, and ADA accommodations.
Respond to HR help tickets and resolve leave/accommodation related inquiries promptly and professionally.
Advise employees and managers on HR processes, EEOC standards, and federal/state leave and accommodation laws.
Provide accurate guidance on time off, disability coordination, paid family leave, and paid time off usage.
Communicate benefits process during leave periods.
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state statutory and regulatory requirements impacting HR practices.
Process leave documentation in compliance with applicable laws and company guidelines.
Organize and maintain accurate records and files related to leaves of absence and ADA accommodations.
Prepare LOA pay worksheets for the payroll team in alignment with payroll schedules.
Ensure compliance with all state leave benefit programs and coordinate pay and leave entitlements accordingly.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, Employee Relations, HR Business Partners, Legal, Payroll, Commissions, Risk Management, and the Employee Help Desk.
Serve as a subject matter expert for leave and accommodation policies, including updates driven by legislation.
Support leave-related projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in leave and accommodation management.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
High stress tolerance and professionalism when handling sensitive situations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); ability to learn new systems quickly.
Experience with AbsenceTracker and Workday is a plus.
Media industry experience is a plus.
