Junior Planning and M&A Analyst
Iguá SaneamentoFinancial Analyst providing financial models and analyses for new businesses in a major sanitation company. Engaging in M&A processes and supporting executive decision making.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Consolidate and analyze financial, operational and regulatory data to build and update financial models related to new business opportunities and the company’s asset portfolio;
- Develop economic and financial models to assess profitability, capital structure and investment feasibility, using valuation methodologies such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) and multiples analysis;
- Prepare sensitivity and scenario analyses, assessing impacts on revenue, opex, capex and the economic-financial rebalancing of concessions;
- Participate in identifying, developing and analyzing new business opportunities, including evaluation of assets, projects and potential acquisitions;
- Support the monitoring, organization and updating of the M&A and New Business opportunities pipeline;
- Support all stages of Buy-side and Sell-side M&A processes, including interaction with internal areas and external advisors to gather, consolidate and analyze information during diligence, valuation and transaction structuring;
- Assist in the preparation of executive materials and presentations to support decision-making by the board and senior management.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or related fields;
- Knowledge of financial modeling, valuation and financial projections;
- Experience preparing executive materials and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint;
- Previous experience in consulting firms, M&A boutiques, banks, financial planning, strategic planning, new business or corporate M&A areas;
- Knowledge of data analysis, data processing and automation;
- Preferred: knowledge of the infrastructure, sanitation (water & sewage) or concessions sector.
