Sales Development Representative – Solar
IGS EnergySolar Sales Development Representative generating qualified homeowner appointments through high-volume prospecting. Driving pipeline development for Solar Account Managers in a fast-growing renewable energy industry.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Generate and qualify leads for residential solar through high-volume outbound prospecting, including phone calls, email outreach, and SMS communication
- Engage with prospective customers to introduce residential solar solutions, assess initial interest, and determine qualification based on established criteria (homeownership, energy usage, and eligibility factors)
- Schedule qualified appointments for Solar Account Managers, ensuring all required information is captured and accurately documented
- Execute structured follow-up efforts to confirm appointments, improve show rates, and maintain consistent multi-touch engagement with prospective customers
- Collaborate closely with Solar Account Managers to ensure high-quality appointment handoff and alignment on prospect expectations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field or Minimum of 1 year prior experience in sales, customer service, call center, or lead generation role is preferred
- Comfortable working in a high-volume outbound calling environment with activity-based performance expectations
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed performance goals
- Ability to manage multiple communication channels including outbound calls, email, and SMS
- Ability to handle objections, navigate customer concerns, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Outlook and Excel) and CRM platforms
- Interest in renewable energy and sustainability preferred
- Highly entrepreneurial mindset with a strong desire to succeed in a performance driven role
