About the role
- Own the Payments Infrastructure roadmap: Define and prioritize initiatives that strengthen our payment foundations, including Stripe integration, fraud and risk systems, transaction processing, and reporting pipelines.
- Partner with Engineering to evolve our platform architecture: Ensure our payments infrastructure is designed for scalability, resilience, and global expansion.
- Be the primary liaison with Stripe and other external providers: Manage the technical relationship, stay ahead of API and policy changes, and coordinate testing, rollouts, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with the Fraud and Risk Operations teams: Define requirements for monitoring, detection, and prevention systems; ensure alignment with compliance and financial operations goals.
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies: Work with other product teams to understand their payments feature needs, translate them into platform requirements, and ensure timely delivery and prioritization.
- Define and track metrics for platform health: Monitor key indicators like uptime, transaction success rate, latency, and operational costs; partner with Engineering to maintain a data-driven improvement loop.
- Drive clarity across technical and non-technical audiences: Communicate platform decisions, trade-offs, and priorities transparently across the organization.
- Ensure compliance and scalability: Partner with Legal, Finance, and external partners to ensure adherence to regulatory and security requirements across geographies.
- Champion first-principles problem solving and continuous learning: Use experimentation and analysis to guide infrastructure evolution and measure impact.
