About the role

  • Lead all aspects of AV and technical production, including staging, lighting, sound, video, and live streaming.
  • Prepare and manage production budgets, ensuring cost control and adherence.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage AV suppliers, production companies, stand builders, and technical personnel.
  • Conduct site inspections and technical walkthroughs with venues and suppliers.
  • Develop production schedules, technical briefs, and show flows.
  • Oversee rehearsals, speaker technical requirements, and live show delivery.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, including preparation of risk assessments.
  • Act as the on-site Health & Safety lead during build-up, event days, and breakdown.
  • Manage event insurance requirements, including public liability, contractor insurance, and exhibitor compliance documentation.
  • Oversee exhibition and expo areas, including floor plans, stand allocation, power, internet, and rigging requirements.
  • Ensure safe and efficient build-up and breakdown processes.
  • Proactively resolve technical and operational issues that may arise before or during events.
  • Collaborate with senior management to enhance production quality and operational efficiency.
  • Manage operational and administrative functions to ensure smooth event delivery.
  • Analyse the success of production delivery and prepare post-event technical reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimise processes and suggest improvements where necessary.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the employer.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in Event Production, AV management, or technical event delivery.
  • Strong technical knowledge of AV systems, staging, lighting, sound, and live event production.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Health & Safety compliance for live events.
  • Experience handling event insurance documentation and contractor compliance.
  • Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with suppliers, venues, and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Leadership skills to manage production teams and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel when required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Ability to adapt to changes and unexpected situations during live events.
