About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work cross-functionally across Sales, Product, R&D, and Implementation teams
Work alongside Solutions Consultants and Account Executives on strategic accounts and net-new opportunities
Own discovery, technical scoping, architecture, implementation, evaluation, productionization, adoption, and handoff for strategic customer solutions
Stand up the current product on customer data quickly to prove value within deals
Build, deploy, and evaluate solutions using customer data
Rapidly prototype near-production-ready solutions for customer requirements using modern AI tools
Engineer production solutions for security, reliability, observability, maintainability, and architectural integration
Measure adoption, workflow impact, reliability, and time-to-value; iterate with stakeholders
Partner with Product and R&D to convert validated customer patterns into roadmap investments, reusable components, and platform improvements
Develop reusable accelerators from recurring customer needs
Develop and continuously update solution specifications with customers
Evaluate business potential, market needs, competitive differentiation, and functional/technical specifications with Product
Coordinate customer needs, ideas, roadmaps, and visions with Product and Sales organizations
Measure role outcomes through influenced ACV, prototype speed, production graduation, accelerator reuse, and productized customer gaps

Requirements

What you’ll need

Customer-facing and commercial ability
Ability to run technical discovery sessions and hold value conversations with technical and business stakeholders
Ability to connect technical solutions to customer outcomes and deal value
Ability to generalize customer solutions into reusable accelerators
LLM application development, RAG, prompt and context engineering, and agent orchestration
Judgment regarding single-agent versus multi-agent patterns and handling memory and state
Experience using modern AI coding tools such as Claude Code
Familiarity with enterprise integrations in regulated utility markets
Familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS/Smallworld, IBM Maximo/EAM, SAP/Oracle ERP/PPM, and PowerBI/reporting systems
Technical and functional understanding of REST and streaming APIs, authentication patterns, and enterprise systems of record
Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed, up to approximately 50%
Software or data engineering background preferred
Experience building and shipping maintainable production software
Fluency in Angular, Python, or a similar language preferred
Understanding of SQL, data modeling, and ingestion, transformation, and serving pipelines preferred
Strong debugging skills with imperfect customer data in live environments
Production engineering experience in observability, performance, and operating at scale
Prior customer-facing technical work, solutions engineering, forward deployment, technical consulting, or startup experience preferred
Prior experience deploying AI in enterprise or regulated environments preferred
