About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute the full Threat Intelligence cycle — collection, processing, analysis and dissemination — producing timely, accurate and actionable intelligence products for Incident Response and Fraud Prevention.
- Monitor, triage and enrich data from multiple sources, including threat feeds, OSINT, dark web channels, internal telemetry and partner intelligence.
- Identify and prioritize indicators, TTPs and campaigns most relevant to the organization’s banking and payments environment.
- Produce tactical intelligence outputs, such as indicator bulletins, threat actor profiles, campaign summaries and situational awareness reports.
- Perform technical analysis of threats specific to the financial sector, including phishing kits, mobile banking malware, payments fraud infrastructure and account takeover tools.
- Extract IOCs and actionable behavioral patterns for defense teams.
- Support Incident Response investigations with real-time intelligence, providing actor context, infrastructure mapping and indicator enrichment.
- Collaborate with Fraud Prevention analysts to map fraud campaigns and techniques to known threat actors and TTPs.
- Contribute to strategic intelligence assessments by tracking broad financial sector trends and identifying patterns that inform medium- and long-term security posture.
- Maintain and improve intelligence workflows and tools, automating repetitive collection and enrichment tasks, curating indicator repositories and integrating data into security operations platforms.
- Build and maintain relationships with analysts at partner organizations, industry groups and threat-sharing communities.
- Develop growing expertise in specific domains or actor groups, progressively taking responsibility for their collection and analysis.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong knowledge of the Threat Intelligence lifecycle and frameworks such as the Diamond Model, MITRE ATT&CK and the Cyber Kill Chain.
- Practical knowledge of the financial threat landscape, including banking trojans, phishing, credential theft, payments fraud, social engineering and cybercriminal economics.
- Proficiency in collection techniques and tools, including OSINT research, domain and infrastructure analysis, threat feed management and dark web monitoring.
- Operational security awareness during research and collection activities.
- Hands-on experience with TIPs, SIEMs and enrichment tools, including the ability to integrate intelligence into detection and response workflows.
- Basic malware analysis knowledge, with the ability to perform simple static and dynamic analysis, extract indicators and understand behaviors.
- Experience supporting Incident Response processes or fraud investigations.
- Strong analytical writing, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports tailored to SOC analysts, fraud investigators and security leadership.
- Proficiency in scripting for data processing and automation, preferably Python, including APIs, JSON, STIX/TAXII, MISP and basic data analysis and visualization.
- Investigative mindset and curiosity to follow leads across disparate sources, identify patterns and build coherent narratives from incomplete information.
- Strong collaboration skills with Security, Fraud and Engineering teams, understanding their intelligence needs and delivering appropriate products.
