About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and manage iFIT's global import compliance operations, with primary focus on U.S. customs clearance
- Develop and execute audit and valuation processes, including physical assisted components, tooling, and freight assists
- Manage and improve reconciliation programs for flagged entries, including post-entry audits
- Oversee HTS classification reviews and maintain the classification database
- Lead customs broker partner RFPs
- Design processes and systems for compliance with U.S. and international customs laws and regulations
- Supervise and coordinate trade compliance and brokerage team activities
- Serve as primary contact for customs authorities and resolve complex issues
- Collaborate with customs officials, shippers, and stakeholders on trade compliance issues
- Monitor regulatory changes and improve processes
- Manage global import/export activities across the USA and support other operating regions
- Oversee trade documentation, risk mitigation, compliance manuals, SOPs, compliance committee initiatives, ACE Portal activities, country-of-origin reviews, and post-entry audits
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in import, customs compliance, or trade management
- Experience with ACE Portal, trade compliance systems, and SAP
- Deep understanding of U.S. customs regulations, tariffs, and trade laws
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) license preferred
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or equivalent trade compliance certification considered
