About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide procurement support to the U.S. market specifically for ingredients, flavors, additives, and related materials
- Lead the evaluation and selection of suppliers based on quality, service, cost, and capability for the assigned portfolio
- Analyze business requirements and identify reliable suppliers to ensure assurance of supply
- Participate in the development and execution of sourcing strategies within the Efficiency and Essential quadrants
- Drive productivity and continuous improvement initiatives together with Improvement Leaders and COE teams
- Identify alternative suppliers through market research and collaboration with Buyers, Senior Buyers, and Executive Buyers
- Oversee contract implementation, supplier performance, and resolution of issues related to quality, service, safety, and supply
- Manage Tail Spend, urgent buys, and resolve issues with delivery, pricing, or blocked invoices
- Utilize procurement tools including RFIs (Requests for Information), RFQs (Requests for Quotation), RFPs (Requests for Proposal), sealed bids, and auctions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related fields
- + 3 years of experience in Procurement, ideally within ingredients, raw materials, or food-related categories
- Mandatory knowledge of the U.S. procurement market and key ingredient suppliers
- Strong understanding of ingredient and flavor supply chains
- Advanced English proficiency; additional languages are a plus
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with adaptability to change
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify opportunities for improvement or savings.
