About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan and implement sales to specific, existing major accounts where growing relationships, identifying opportunities, and utilizing account management skills are critical
  • Drive profitable growth for the Probiotics and Biosciences portfolio across Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with existing and prospective customers in the dietary supplements and pharmaceutical industries
  • Develop and manage a robust, evergreen project pipeline, ensuring continuous opportunity creation and progression
  • Define and execute account-specific growth and defense strategies, supported by detailed account plans
  • Identify customer strategies, unmet needs, and market trends to unlock new business opportunities
  • Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, contracts, and go-to-market strategies with direct customers and distributors
  • Act as the primary link between customers and IFF’s internal teams (Applications, Regulatory, QA, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Marketing)
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, manage risks, and communicate insights through Salesforce and regional forums
  • Resolve customer issues, including complaints and payment disputes, ensuring high service levels throughout the sales cycle

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific field
  • 3+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably within health, pharma, or food ingredients
  • Proven experience in dietary supplements ingredients; probiotics experience is strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of Health & Dietary Supplements markets, products, and technologies
  • Demonstrated success in developing new businesses with end-to-end ownership of opportunities
  • Strong strategic selling, negotiation, and account management skills
  • Ability to translate customer pains into value-driven commercial and technical solutions
  • Highly analytical, organized, results-oriented, and resilient in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong proficiency in commercial IT tools (Salesforce, MS Office)
