Regional Account Manager – Health
IFFRegional Account Manager driving growth in Probiotics and Biosciences across Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. Building relationships in dietary supplements and pharmaceutical industries.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan and implement sales to specific, existing major accounts where growing relationships, identifying opportunities, and utilizing account management skills are critical
- Drive profitable growth for the Probiotics and Biosciences portfolio across Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with existing and prospective customers in the dietary supplements and pharmaceutical industries
- Develop and manage a robust, evergreen project pipeline, ensuring continuous opportunity creation and progression
- Define and execute account-specific growth and defense strategies, supported by detailed account plans
- Identify customer strategies, unmet needs, and market trends to unlock new business opportunities
- Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, contracts, and go-to-market strategies with direct customers and distributors
- Act as the primary link between customers and IFF’s internal teams (Applications, Regulatory, QA, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Marketing)
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, manage risks, and communicate insights through Salesforce and regional forums
- Resolve customer issues, including complaints and payment disputes, ensuring high service levels throughout the sales cycle
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific field
- 3+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably within health, pharma, or food ingredients
- Proven experience in dietary supplements ingredients; probiotics experience is strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of Health & Dietary Supplements markets, products, and technologies
- Demonstrated success in developing new businesses with end-to-end ownership of opportunities
- Strong strategic selling, negotiation, and account management skills
- Ability to translate customer pains into value-driven commercial and technical solutions
- Highly analytical, organized, results-oriented, and resilient in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong proficiency in commercial IT tools (Salesforce, MS Office)
