About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and lead IFF’s global internal communications strategy aligned with enterprise priorities and culture.
  • Establish the enterprise internal narrative, messaging frameworks, and editorial standards for clarity and consistency.
  • Translate complex strategy, transformation, and change initiatives into clear, relevant employee communications.
  • Execute day‑to‑day communications—drafting content, handling quick‑turn requests, and publishing timely updates across platforms.
  • Write, edit, and publish stories, announcements, and leadership messages with strong editorial judgment.
  • Partner with executive leadership and the VP of Corporate Communications to shape CEO and enterprise‑level messaging.
  • Lead employee engagement communications and convert insights (surveys, feedback) into targeted, sustained communication plans.
  • Own internal communication channels, governance, and standards; develop templates, playbooks, and self‑service guidance.
  • Define communications success metrics and use insights to continually refine content, channels, and strategy.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or above, ideally in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, English, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or corporate communications in a global, matrixed company.
  • Ability to work hands‑on—drafting content, managing platforms, and addressing rapid-turn requests with accuracy and speed.
  • Proven capability to balance strategic leadership with flawless day‑to‑day execution.
  • Experience advising and partnering with senior executives and C‑suite leaders.
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, editing, and content judgment skills across formats and time horizons.
  • Strong understanding of change communications and employee engagement drivers.
  • Experience building governance, frameworks, and processes that elevate communication quality and consistency.
  • Ability to influence, align, and enable cross‑functional contributors without direct reporting authority.
