About the role
- Lead and oversee all plant manufacturing activities—including production, materials management, quality control, and manufacturing engineering—to ensure safe, reliable, and cost‑effective operations.
- Champion a strong safety culture by driving site engagement, regulatory compliance, and a long‑term commitment to zero incidents.
- Promote and communicate the plant’s vision, values, strategies, and objectives, ensuring alignment across all teams.
- Build a culture of trust, employee engagement, and capability development while fostering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at all levels.
- Act as a change leader by challenging existing paradigms and strengthening continuous improvement and problem‑solving practices across the site.
- Ensure world‑class performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost, and People through effective leadership and operational excellence.
- Maintain and improve production capacity, drive asset reliability, and support maintenance best practices to meet customer service and manufacturing plan commitments.
- Collaborate closely with global network partners, business leaders, and functional teams to enhance competitiveness and operational performance.
- Set the plant’s future vision and define critical operating objectives to support long‑term business goals.
Requirements
- University degree in a relevant technical field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- At least 10 years of industrial or chemical process experience and at least 5 years of people leadership experience.
- Proven ability to set priorities, influence senior stakeholders, and guide teams toward shared objectives.
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and communication skills with the ability to inspire and engage teams.
- Ability to quickly learn operational technologies and effectively drive or support organizational change.
- Strong track record of leading cultural transformation and building high‑performing, empowered teams.
- Data‑driven, action‑oriented mindset with a strong sense of urgency and ownership.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
