Key responsibilities & impact

Own and execute end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives across indirect spend categories, with a strong focus on technology and software procurement.
Independently lead complex, multi-step RFP processes for contracts exceeding $250K.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies that support business goals, optimize value, and manage supplier-related risk.
Negotiate pricing, contract terms, service levels, and commercial structures to improve cost efficiency and overall business outcomes.
Build sourcing leverage through supplier competition, benchmarking, market analysis, and strategic negotiation approaches.
Partner cross-functionally with stakeholders across IT, Legal, Finance, and other business areas to align sourcing strategies and support successful project execution.
Manage supplier relationships, including supplier performance, risk mitigation efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Translate business requirements into clear scopes of work, sourcing plans, and procurement strategies.
Perform total cost of ownership analysis to identify long-term value opportunities, hidden costs, and operational efficiencies.
Manage a pipeline of sourcing initiatives while balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Contribute to a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, accountability, and strategic business partnership.

Requirements

What you’ll need

5–8 years of experience in indirect procurement and strategic sourcing with ownership of supplier portfolios (required)
Proven experience independently leading end-to-end RFP processes for contracts valued at $250K or greater (required)
1–2+ years of experience sourcing technology and software categories, including SaaS, subscriptions, licensing agreements, or related IT spend (required)
Strong contract knowledge and experience negotiating complex commercial agreements that deliver measurable business value (required)
Experience applying structured, multi-step sourcing methodologies such as Kearney or similar strategic sourcing frameworks (required)
Advanced negotiation skills and experience creating leverage strategies that drive favorable sourcing outcomes (required)
Strong business acumen and are comfortable influencing stakeholders across IT, Legal, Finance, and other functions without direct authority (required)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted advisor relationships across the organization (required)
Strong project management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and reprioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment (required)
Approach sourcing decisions with a strategic mindset focused on cost optimization, timing, supplier risk, and long-term value creation (required)
Agile, adaptable, and solutions-oriented with a proactive and ownership-driven approach to problem solving (required)
Demonstrated success leading complex sourcing initiatives, driving cost savings, and improving supplier performance (required)
Comfortable working standard East Coast business hours in support of cross-functional stakeholder collaboration (required)
