Senior Engineering Technician – 2nd Shift
IDEXXSenior Engineering Technician troubleshooting and repairing custom automation and manufacturing equipment for Water line of business. Performing maintenance and technical evaluations on advanced mechanical systems.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Troubleshoot and repair custom automation and OEM manufacturing equipment supporting the Water manufacturing line of business
- Perform maintenance on high tech mechanical systems including robotics, pick and place, and cam driven equipment
- Disassemble, repair and reassemble complex mechanical assemblies
- Perform technical evaluation of events to determine root cause and recommend corrective action
- Compile and analyze engineering data, patterns and other information and draws conclusions
- Build, manage and maintain an organized inventory management system using a CMMS
- Monitor and inspect completed and in-process work
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associates Degree in a technical (mechanical/electrical) or relevant discipline preferred
- Equivalent military background including technical experience and training desirable
- Solid technical background and experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, and process improvement skills on automated manufacturing and process control equipment
- Strong preventive maintenance knowledge and experience
- 5+ years of experience working in a technical capacity preferred
- Technical aptitude
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communications skills, both verbal and written, with internal and external customers
