About the role
- Supervise day-to-day activities of Inventory Control
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate work and manage escalated/critical issues
- Provide coaching and guidance to staff and promote staff training and development
- Maintain work on schedule to meet goals and deadlines
- Lead and/or contribute to process improvements based on evaluation of existing procedures and business needs
- Prepare reports and other information summarizing work activities
- Maintain knowledge of Company products and services, as well as changes and developments in the industry affecting work activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Managed a team in the past
- Experience managing, organizing, prioritizing, and directing work activities and teams
- Personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, & Excel)
- Strong communication skills both verbally and written with the ability to adapt your communication based on the recipient
- Developed reasoning and analytical skills to resolve issues
- Demonstrated project management skills and abilities
- Experience with Inventory Control, Materials Management, and/or warehousing leadership is ideal
- Adept in identifying and implementing process improvements and integrating Lean methodologies
- Knowledge of warehouse practices
- Ability to support a multi-shift and multi-site operation
- Certificate to operate a forklift may be required; certificate to work with hazardous materials may be required.
