About the role

  • Strive to exceed the sales revenues for IDEXX Water products through regular sales visits with clients performing microbiology water testing on their drinking, raw, bottled and other waters
  • Travel regularly to meet customers to sell the value of the IDEXX products
  • Work to grow business annually through gaining new customers and growing existing business
  • Show your proven track-record of closing sales and of meeting quarterly sales goals
  • Schedule prospect calls, presentations, and training
  • Collaborate with the help of inside sales partners.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of field sales experience with proven track-record of closing sales of consumables and equipment
  • Prior experience working with corporate accounts preferred
  • Ability to prioritize activities and work in the field with limited supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet quarterly goals
  • Ability to sell on value of a product versus price
  • Ability to understand technical products and/or issues
  • Strong sales analysis and forecasting experience
  • Experience overcoming objections and closing the accounts
  • Clear and concise communicator
  • Must be self-managed, self-motivated and extremely well organized
  • Demonstrated aptitude in teamwork
  • Candidate must reside in either Pennsylvania, Virginia, DC, West Virginia or North Carolina
  • Candidates must reside near a major airport
