District Manager
IDEX CorporationDistrict Manager leading sales activities in a territory with customer engagement. Develops strategies for customer growth and competitive displacement in rotating equipment sales.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the sales activity in the assigned territory
- Pursue target customers and maintain existing customer base
- Develop market maps and successfully close orders to grow the overall territory
- Meet or exceed territory order commitments and sales revenue forecast
- Interact with customers in person and remotely to evaluate pumping solutions
- Grow and develop targeted growth products and customers
- Maintain organized and efficient lead and quote follow-up, expenses, planning, and reporting.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical post-secondary degree preferred or minimum of 5 years’ experience with outside technical sales of rotating equipment
- Strong business experience and acumen with sales forecasting, prospecting, and history of success
- Proven ability to listen, gain trust with customer, bring closure to an action, project or opportunity
- Bilingual in French and English (an asset, required for QUE DM)
- Willing to travel as needed to visit customers
- Formal presentation skills
- Ability to work independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products and CRM
- Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone and in person.
