About the role
- Lead and manage all financial operations in Germany, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Act as the primary finance point of contact for Germany, ensuring alignment with corporate financial strategy and adherence to local regulations.
- Collaborate closely with the SSC in Manila to ensure accurate and timely transactional processing, reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Coordinate with external accounting and tax advisors to ensure compliance with German statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide strategic financial insights, analyses, and recommendations to management to support business growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous process improvements and harmonization of financial practices in line with group standards.
- Support, guide, and mentor local stakeholders and finance-related interfaces, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in financial management, ideally within a multinational or multi-country environment.
- Strong knowledge of international accounting standards and German financial, tax, and statutory regulations.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and manage complex financial operations with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with shared service centers and external accounting providers is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong command of both German and English (written and spoken) is required.
