About the role
- Develops, prepares, and executes test plans, procedures, and schedules
- Plans and conducts testing, including using programming languages for test automation
- Integrates automated test plans into the CI/CD pipeline wherever possible
- Analyzes test results
- Reports incidents discovered during testing and tracks them through to closure
- Performs regression and ad‑hoc testing as changes require
- Ensures requirements are fully covered by tests
- Contributes to and validates documentation for project deliverables (configuration, user guides, etc.)
- Designs, implements, and executes complex tests and complete modules within agreed quality, deadline, and cost constraints, seeking support from experienced peers when needed
- Conducts test reviews and troubleshooting
- Participates in workshops with customers and external parties
- Coaches and mentors less experienced QA engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance or test engineering
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Java or Python
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA best practices
- Experience testing complex, distributed, or mission‑critical systems
- Hands‑on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, ALM)
- Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, REST clients)
- Solid understanding of SQL and database validation
- Familiarity with Agile development environments
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Communication skills: French and professional-level English
