About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive growth and win new business for anaesthesia and specialist injectable products through data-led prospecting
- Monitor sales performance, identify declining accounts, and implement re-engagement strategies
- Engage NHS stakeholders on procurement frameworks and support Cost Improvement Objectives (CIPs)
- Communicate technical product differentiation and value propositions to pharmacists and clinical stakeholders via phone and video
- Communicate supply issues, backorders, and shortages to customers
- Maintain precise CRM records for forecasting, tender activity, and pricing contract management
- Coordinate equipment audits and manage the installed base and future upgrade cycles with technical teams
- Collaborate with regulatory and supply chain teams to resolve commercial challenges
- Manage the end-to-end sales process for assigned accounts, from outreach through contract administration
- Achieve quarterly sales targets, maintain at least 95% retention across key NHS accounts, convert prospects into active customers, maintain 100% CRM data accuracy, and resolve supply inquiries within 24–48 hours
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be ABPI qualified
- Minimum of 3–5 years of commercial sales experience, preferably within the UK healthcare or medical device sector
- Solid understanding of NHS procurement structures and pharmaceutical supply chain dynamics
- Proven ability in objection handling, virtual prospecting, and commercial negotiation
- Advanced capability in using CRM systems and virtual engagement tools, e.g., Teams and Zoom
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for professional remote stakeholder engagement
- Ability to manage a territory and achieve results with minimal direct supervision
- Previous experience managing anaesthesia, injectables, or hospital-based products
- Direct experience engaging with NHS pharmacy stakeholders
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and sales forecasting
- Existing knowledge of UK wholesaler environments and pharmaceutical tenders
