About the role

  • Lead and manage a team of 4–5 software engineers
  • Oversee the development of new features on the Beakon EHS platform
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design teams to deliver high‑quality solutions
  • Work across the full software development lifecycle aligned to the product roadmap
  • Communicate progress and identify delivery risks where needed
  • Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical decisions
  • Promote good engineering practices including testing and documentation
  • Support Agile delivery and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Review team performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Encourage a culture of accountability, collaboration, and empowerment

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, working with varied audiences
  • Experience managing change and resolving conflicts constructively
  • 3+ years’ experience working in Agile software development environments (e.g. Scrum)
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise applications using PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, and JavaScript
  • Experience with SuiteCRM integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, and AWS‑hosted infrastructure
  • Front‑end development experience using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX
  • Solid database development skills, including query optimisation
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Docker
  • Ability to guide teams on best practices across architecture, security, testing, and delivery
