About the role
- Lead and manage a team of 4–5 software engineers
- Oversee the development of new features on the Beakon EHS platform
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design teams to deliver high‑quality solutions
- Work across the full software development lifecycle aligned to the product roadmap
- Communicate progress and identify delivery risks where needed
- Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical decisions
- Promote good engineering practices including testing and documentation
- Support Agile delivery and continuous improvement initiatives
- Review team performance and provide constructive feedback
- Encourage a culture of accountability, collaboration, and empowerment
Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, working with varied audiences
- Experience managing change and resolving conflicts constructively
- 3+ years’ experience working in Agile software development environments (e.g. Scrum)
- Proven experience delivering enterprise applications using PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, and JavaScript
- Experience with SuiteCRM integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, and AWS‑hosted infrastructure
- Front‑end development experience using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX
- Solid database development skills, including query optimisation
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Docker
- Ability to guide teams on best practices across architecture, security, testing, and delivery
