About the role
- Design and execute test cases, scripts, and supporting test data to ensure software meets quality standards and user requirements, following defined test processes and the SDLC.
- Identify, track, and report defects from both a testing and customer perspective, collaborating closely with developers, project managers, and other cross‑functional teams to ensure thorough testing and alignment with project goals.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using the pre‑defined automation framework to sustain the required level of automation.
- Participate in project planning and estimation to ensure testing activities are accurately scoped and properly resourced, while contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes and overall efficiency.
- Assist with preparing test datasets, writing test cases, and executing tests based on guided understanding of requirements.
- Take part in team ceremonies such as planning, daily stand‑ups, demos, and retrospectives.
- Maintain clear documentation for test scripts and processes while keeping up to date with the latest trends and technologies in software testing and development.
Requirements
- Bring 2+ years of professional software testing experience with proven ability to contribute to teams delivering and maintaining web‑based software, applying strong analytical skills, problem‑solving capability, and excellent attention to detail.
- Experienced in automation scripting using tools such as Playwright, C#, Selenium, Appium , or similar, with additional exposure to SmartBear TestComplete for WinForms and Testmo for test case management.
- Demonstrable experience using Gherkin and Cucumber to define stories and success criteria, alongside solid knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and various testing types.
- Communicate effectively in English (written and verbal), with a willingness to teach and learn at all levels, while collaborating effectively in a team and also working independently.
- Hold or pursue relevant certifications such as ISTQB or similar testing qualifications, cyber-related credentials like CEH, and cloud certifications including AWS Cloud Practitioner.
- Possess a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (desirable).
