About the role
- Maintain active, positive, and clear communication with everyone in the Posner Community, including tenants, members, staff, and visitors.
- Expand the visibility of the Posner Center, facilitate collaboration among members, and amplify the overall voice of the community.
- Ensure safe, effective, and efficient community management, acting as a concierge to support tenants' and members' needs during business hours.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive internal and external communications strategy, work plan, and set up systems to support achieving the Posner Center’s goals and objectives.
- Create and manage branding materials, ensuring consistency across all communications platforms.
- Manage all public relations initiatives, including media outreach and press releases.
- Oversee social media presence, leveraging trends to increase engagement and awareness.
- Collaborate with tenants to highlight their work and achievements
- Assist with communications campaigns for specific Posner Center programs, including an annual Posner Center Symposium.
- Manage office phone, voicemail, and mailroom daily when the Communications & Community Manager is in the office in support of the Posner Building Director.
- Track and report on communication metrics to guide future strategy and improvements, including gathering feedback from tenants and stakeholders.
- Produce high-quality written and visual content, including blogs, newsletters, photos, and videos, that reflect the missions and stories of the Posner Center and its tenants.
- Manage the creation and distribution of content across various platforms, including the Posner Center's website, social media, and internal community groups.
- Promote events by creating and distributing content, including flyers, targeted outreach emails, and a printed calendar for the building.
- Foster strong relationships with tenant organizations through regular communication, serving as the primary community concierge and first point of contact.
- Support members to organize tenant meetings, workshops, and networking events to enhance community engagement and collaboration.
- Oversee website updates, including the event calendar, announcements and tenant information, using WordPress.
- Enhance the building's welcoming environment by greeting visitors and guests as needed and managing the digital receptionist.
- Serve as concierge of the front desk when working in the building.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in communications, with a focus on public relations and brand management.
- Demonstrated ability to create effective communications strategies and campaigns.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and content management systems (e.g. Wordpress).
- Experience working in the non-profit sector or international development is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Benefits
- **Remuneration: **This is a contract position that pays $25-35/hr, depending on experience, with an expected weekly commitment of 16-24 hours. This position is based at the Posner Center in Denver.
