About the role

Oversee daily tour operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery.
Support guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and operational consistency while supervising and coaching all seasonal supervisors.
Maintain oversight of each tour, support ship communication, and assist the Director of Excursions with operational needs.
Manage labor alignment, help keep staffing within budget, and contribute to financial forecasting and overall departmental performance.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with shipboard shore excursion staff.
Assist with new tour development, allocations, and operational input for proposals.
Conduct weekly, and as needed, meetings with Excursions Supervisors and Staff to provide coaching, operational updates and morale support.
Ensure all tour equipment is operational and tour ready, including routine cleaning, service checks, and compliance.

Minimum 10 years working in tourism industry, preferably in Alaska, with emphasis in operations and guest services.
Minimum 5 years experience managing staff over 40.
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, and aptitude for learning other computer programs.
Proven outstanding customer service philosophy and practices.
Bachelor’s degree in business or tourism preferred.
