About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Underwriters through account management and policy processing activities
- Process new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements in accordance with company guidelines
- Maintain organized electronic files and policy documentation
- Review and enter policy information into underwriting systems to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Issue policies, endorsements, and related documents in accordance with company procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients
- Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries during the account life cycle
- Handle correspondence for additional account information
- Assist producers via email and phone calls
- Order loss runs requested by agents and insureds and send via fax, email, or mail
- Prepare and mail claims kits and marketing materials requested by agents and insureds
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of underwriting support, insurance operations, agency, brokerage, or carrier experience required
- Two or more years of insurance industry experience preferred
- Experience supporting Commercial Lines and/or Workers' Compensation business preferred, including exposure to Property, General Liability, Commercial Auto, and Workers' Compensation coverages
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
