About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, train, and develop a motivated team of Underwriting Assistants
  • Ensure accurate and timely policy processing and underwriting support activities
  • Monitor the quality and quantity of work for the unit
  • Provide technical coaching regarding policy forms and underwriting requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Insurance, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of insurance industry experience required
  • At least 3 years of experience in underwriting support, underwriting operations, or a related role required
  • Workers' Compensation insurance experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of lead, supervisory, or people leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of underwriting support operations, policy administration, and account management practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and insurance administration systems required
  • Associate in Insurance (AINS) and Associate in Underwriting (AU) preferred
