About the role

Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
Integrate third-party services, EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner), and secure health data exchanges.
Implement security and compliance protocols aligned with healthcare standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (front-end developers, DevOps, QA engineers) to support front-end integrations and data pipelines.
Ensure system reliability, test coverage, and maintainability.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and healthcare data privacy standards.
Actively participate in code reviews, system audits, and agile sprint planning.
Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and refine infrastructure, working closely with DevOps Engineers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or related field.
3+ years of back-end development experience in healthcare, life sciences tech or regulated industries.
Solid understanding of API design, system architecture, and relational/noSQL databases.
Proficient in one or more server-side languages.
Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and CI/CD workflows.
Understanding of healthcare data formats (FHIR, HL7) is a plus.
Knowledge of DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Respect for patient privacy, data ethics, and security best practices.
