About the role
- Lead and oversee data management (DM) activities across multiple clinical projects
- Ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to timelines while mentoring DM staff and managing vendor relationships
- Lead DM activities for assigned products, ensuring adherence to processes and quality standards
- Oversee project timelines, cycle times, metrics, and CAPA processes
- Mentor and train DM staff, fostering continuous improvement
- Develop and implement DM policies, SOPs, and best practices
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure quality deliverables
- Represent DM in cross-functional teams and project meetings
- Oversee database locks, submissions, and study-specific training
Requirements
- Doctorate OR Master's (3+ years clinical experience) OR Bachelor's (5+ years)
- Degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred
- 6+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech data management
- 3+ years in project management & planning
- Experience overseeing vendors (CROs, labs, imaging, etc.)
- Strong understanding of clinical data management processes, SOPs, and regulatory requirements (GCP, ICH guidelines)
- Proficiency in electronic data capture (EDC) systems and database management
- Experience leading DM teams and mentoring staff
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
